Compared Recommendations. New Good Bad Missing. The Canon 6D Mark II is a fantastic and inexpensive full-frame DSLR, offering extraordinary technical image quality in a lightweight package. It is a new version of 2012's original Canon 6D. The low cost comes from having fewer controls than fancier Canons like my 5DSR.
Currently, I use a 5D Mark IV and a 6D Mark II. However, the single card slot for the 6D Mark II drives me crazy, and I’ve decided I’m jumping into mirrorless now. At the moment, I can only really afford to go for one mirrorless camera body, so I’ll be keeping my 5D Mark IV, as well as my current lenses (24-70mm f/2.8 II, 70-200mm f/2.8 Canon 24-105 f/4 II, Canon 70-200 f/4 L IS II, Canon 100 f/2, Canon 100-400 L II, Sigma 135 f/1.4 and Canon 200mm f/2.8. The Canon lenses will all work perfectly. You will have to look at them after shooting them with the R to make sure they are your lenses. They will be that much better.
Though a 5D MK III is a more professional tool. In my opinion the 6D is a step up from the from the 5D MK II and wedding photographers used the 5D MK II for years. For low light the 6D is said to have a slight edge over the 5D MK III for noise, very slight. This possibly due to slightly larger pixel sensor size that can gather more photons.
135.5 × 106.5 × 76mm. 148.6 x 112.4 x 78.2mm. MSRP Price. $1,199 (as introduced) $1,799 (as introduced) With a $600 price difference, it is pretty clear that the Canon 7D Mark II is a higher-grade camera than the Nikon D7200. The true competitor to the 7D Mark II will be Nikon’s D400, which will probably be priced around the same mark and 1. Size & Weight. While the 6D Mark II is hardly light (at 765 g/26.98 oz), the 5D Mark IV is about 100 grams heavier (at 890 g/31.39 oz). This difference shouldn’t be too noticeable for most shooters, but you may start to feel the extra weight if you spend days with the 5D Mark IV in your hiking pack or if you’re the type who never leaves
Turns out that the new canon 1dx ii has actually smaller parts of the pixel that absorb light when compared to the 1dx. I guess maybe purchasing a 1dx would prove a better fit for me and for my wallet, but this to me is sad. What do other more experienced users think. Thanks!
